We seem to be in an era in which almost everyone seems convinced that…
1.) They are right.
2.) Anyone who disagrees with them is not only wrong, but also should not be allowed to express their opinion.
This is a dangerous trend for us all.
Whoever you are and whatever you believe, I guarantee there are many times that you are wrong. (Including whether or not the people you think are wrong… are actually wrong.)
I don’t trust anyone to silence other people.
I don’t trust any human being to be the judge of who gets to speak and who doesn’t.
Healthy democratic societies must accept that everyone has a right to express their opinion.
Even when you disagree with them.
