To encourage myself to be open-minded, when I see a media story that contradicts my beliefs, I do additional research and try to find data that SUPPORTS this contradictory opinion. Yes, I try to challenge my own beliefs, but with hard facts.
In doing this, I came across interesting research from Israel, which is one of the countries that has done the best job of vaccinating citizens. According to an article from Israel National News, “Israelis with immunity from natural infection were far less likely to become infected again in comparison to Israelis who only had immunity via vaccination.”
The story goes on to say that “Israelis who were vaccinated were 6.72 times more likely to get infected after the shot than after natural infection.”
I can imagine that this conclusion might contradict your own beliefs, since many people feel that vaccinations are the only path to going back to a normal society.
If so, perhaps you can try the approach that works so well for me. Do research on your own, and see if you can find any evidence to support the perspective I’ve shared today.
